Our first show is in 9 days and I am desperately seeking inspiration for an stage outfit/makeup/hair. Visuals are so important., especially when you're the front woman in a rock band. I really don't want to go on stage in in something that people expect of me, and if they're paying money, I'm going to have to deliver something completely unexpected and controversial, and be wickedly clever about it. Naturally I'm going for a black,   provcative  number, but there's so many options that I might be starting to panic. So many possibilies, so little time!

 

Yesterday I went with Sara and Karis to watch the Olympic Torch Relay, because it was happening next to my house. It's probably the only thing that put me in the mood for the Olympics, and I should be really excited about the whole thing seeing as it's happening in London and it'll be a part of our history but I simply do not give a fuck. 

 

Yesterday however, the atmosphere was great and it was all very exciting with Ruper Grint carrying the damn torch. He kinda just shot past me quickly looking smug as hell, but what a handsome young man he is. 

Too many cute kitties in Istanbul that I wanted to hold and cuddle and bring back with me. I just want to live with every single one of them, and yes, I am definitely showing premature symptoms of becoming a crazy cat woman, but if you were there, you'd be the same.

 

 

 

Anddddd I'm back in the freezing cold.

My body hasn't quite yet adjusted to the great British summer but it's getting there. Istanbul was incredible and I already miss it so much!! I couldn't have asked for a better vacation, and as depressing as it is coming back to reality, I can now concentrate on the band and working! So there are some upsides to this.

Definately returning to Istanbul one of these years though, it's my favorite city out of the ones I've been to.

 

I can't believe I've been here for over one and a half weeks! Where did all this time go? Of course I am having the time of my life I would gladly stay here forever if I didn't have a life in London. Definately not looking forward to the 18°C in London next week!

 

Tonight we are going out to dinner with Sunaliza's parents. I swear to God, the food here is so incredible that I am already planning my detox when I get back, in preparation for the first Blood Diamonds show next month!! More details on that later, also some sight seeing pictures to come! I've fallen in love with this city.

Tuborg Goldfest was fucking incredible. Such a fun day in the sun with friends. One of my favorite shows ever. Saw a few really awesome bands including Ugly Kid Joe, Evanescence and Apocalyptica but Guns N Roses absolutely killed it and shocked me with how good they were for every minute of their 3 hour set. I don't care what anybody says, Axl Rose has still got it!! And he wasn't even late!! ;D

We went shopping to Taksim today! Basically the Camden of Istanbul! Lots and Lots of shops! Bought a few nice things, make up and stuff. We're gonna do all the touristy shopping later in the week! Tomorrow night we're off to Guns N Roses!!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I am absolutely loving it here so far, and it's only been 4 days! On Sunday we went to Suada, which is a tiny island in the middle of the water where we swam, sunbathed, met Pitbull and hung out with his band, who just happened to be having  a party there! Everything is so mindblowingly beautiful and the food is so damn good that I'm stoked to stay here for the next two weeks! So much more fun to come! So far it's the best summer ever. xo

 

Today was mall day! We ate Turkish breakfast and shopped for a few hours, loving it here so far! Tomorrow we're off to Suada so the tanning can commence! Luckily I tan really easily so this pale ale thing I'm currently doing can fuck off :) I also decided that planes swell up my face.

 

Not much photobobmbing today because I'm still a pale ale and my camera is being an absolute cunt.
